Guangxi Design Week

A selection of tapestries by Studio Pratha will be representing Sardinian and Italian excellence during the Guangxi Design Week 2019, one of the most important design events of China, held in the futurist city of Nanning from 23 to 29 October. An exhibition area of 150 m2 called “Sardinia, the heart of contemporary rural living” will be set up in the Nanning International Convention Center, in the cluster dedicated to innovative design artcraft. The most representative excellence of the Sardinian inland, selected by the Group of local action of Barbagia, Mandrolisai e Gennargentu (GAL BMG), will bring to China “not simply products, but suggestion and beauty”, said the Designer Annalisa Cocco, involved in the creative project management of the event, “to create a bridge of knowledge and innovation, promoting cultural and trade relations between Sardinia and Asia”. Tapestries from both Janas collection, by designers G. Coinu and E. Gobbo, and Greys series, by designer L. Lai, will be exhibited in this major showcase as from tomorrow to foster this encounter between craft and design, tradition and innovation, West and East.
